The Data R&D Institute of emlyon is proud to present the first European installment of OpenVis Conf, a 5-year-old popular tech conference on open source web data visualization tools and techniques. The conference will be held in Paris on May 14-16.
The conference, formerly held in Boston, has become a community gathering place for the best work in data visualization practice and research, bringing together data journalists, data developers, and academics. Our focus is on educational talks, introducing the tools and skills needed to cope with today’s rigorous requirements for well-designed data presentation. This year we will be following the main program with 10 educational half-day workshops that are “hands-on,” with separate admission fee. (You can register for workshops even if you don’t attend the conference.)
The call for submissions is now closed (we received a record number of submissions!), but tickets are for sale and sponsorship opportunities still exist! The conference program will be announced mid-February at the latest.
